Editorial: Put Your Differences Aside and Go Vote!

By Thomas Warren III, Editor-in-Chief

Tomorrow, voters in Amarillo and across the Texas Panhandle will have several big choices to make. While it seems like supporters of various candidates have been constantly at war in the comment sections on social media, there is one thing I hope we can all agree on: making it to the polls is what counts at the end of the day.

Whether you plan to vote in either primary runoff, whether you are a Ronny Jackson or Josh Winegarner supporter, whether this is your first time voting or you have been doing it for decades, please make sure you get out and vote in these runoff elections if you want to have a say on who will be on your ballot this November.

Amarillo voters have five different contests to vote in, combined from both parties. Among these candidates who will advance from the runoffs on Tuesday will be the people who will make decisions affecting the entire state of Texas and our nation in Washington. Republicans also have a big decision to make in the rematch for 7th Court of Appeals.

No matter where you stand, make sure you get out and vote. This election is too important to pass by without making sure your voice is heard.
