Claude Officials Offer Reward in City Park Vandalism Investigation

City officials in Claude are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspects responsible for a recent vandalism of the city’s park.

According to Claude officials, between the afternoon of December 19 and the afternoon of December 20, a person or group of persons vandalized the new playground equipment at the city’s park. City officials condemned the vandalism calling it “unacceptable and infuriating,” while also saying the Armstrong County Sheriff’s Office has been notified and is the process of filing a report on the incident. City officials also say a plan is being put into place to clean the graffiti off of the equipment.

Officials say $300 has been offered as a reward for the person who provides information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the incident.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Armstrong County Sheriff's Office at 806-553-6933.
