Randall Sheriff Releases Further Information on Tuesday Shooting

The Randall County Sheriff’s Office released more information to the public on a Tuesday night shooting that left one person dead.

According to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office, on March 2 at around 11pm, officers were dispatched to a 911 call about a vehicle crash and shooting in rural Randall County. When deputies arrived at the scene, Department of Public Safety troopers said they had discovered the body of a 47-year-old black man in the crashed vehicle near the 38000 block of FM 1705.

Deputies identified the suspect, a 41-year-old man, found near the scene of the accident as the 911 caller. He was arrested at the scene and booked into the Randall County Jail on murder charges.

On Friday, the suspect was identified as Charles Parsons of Bluff Dale. Meanwhile, the victim was identified as Allen Ward of Hereford.

Parsons is currently in custody in the Randall County jail on a murder charge, and has been issued a $100,000 bond.
