No agenda has been posted on the City of Amarillo’s website as of the close of business hours today for the meeting which was expected to occur next Tuesday.
The city council had been expected to discuss and approve the city’s taxpayer funded lobbying priorities. The item had been on the agenda for last week.
However, since the agenda packet made available to the public failed to include a list of the priorities, the vote was delayed due to a motion made by Councilman Cole Stanley.
There are two meetings scheduled to take place the following week for public hearings on the budget and tax hike, as we reported yesterday. It is possible that the council may take up the taxpayer funded lobbying priorities vote on September 6th during the same meeting as the budget public hearing. If an agenda for a meeting next week, we will keep you updated.
