During their regular meeting on Tuesday, November 14th, Amarillo City Council will vote to set a date for a public hearing regarding the annexation of 1,086.85 acres of land north of Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.
According to the Potter-Randall Appraisal District, most of the land which may be annexed is owned by the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation, though about 400 acres are owned by CVMR Texas, Inc.
According to a draft resolution provided by the city, the public hearing on the item is tentatively set for the council’s December 12th meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 14th. It will be held on the third floor of City Hall. Before the regular meeting, Amarillo City Council will hold a closed-door executive session meeting at 1:00 pm.
