The weather for Election Day in Amarillo is expected to be sunny with a high in the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service.
As polling locations open at 7:00 am, the temperatures are expected to be in the mid-thirties, with a frost advisory set to be in place overnight. The temperature is expected to peak at around 61° around 4:00 pm and reach back down to the low 50s as polls close at 7:00 pm.
Winds will be relatively calm throughout the day at 8 to 10 miles per hour, while cloud cover percentage is expected to remain in the single digits throughout the day.
