Libertarian Party presidential nominee Chase Oliver will appear on the Texas ballot in November.
Oliver first gained national attention after his campaign was credited for forcing a runoff in the 2022 Georgia Senate election.
According to his website, Oliver’s platform is focused on tackling inflation, cutting economic regulations, getting the federal government out of education, supporting gun rights, and ending wars.
Oliver was nominated by the Libertarian Party convention after seven rounds of voting.
Currently, Oliver is the only presidential candidate listed on a Secretary of State site listing qualified candidates, though the Secretary of State’s office has also confirmed they have accepted independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s application.
Several other down-ballot Libertarian Party candidates have been declared ineligible due to not paying the required filing fee. Mike Kolls, who had sought to challenge incumbent Congressman Ronny Jackson, is among the candidates declared ineligible.
