Candidate Op-Ed Submission Portal
Greetings!
It has been the longstanding policy of The Amarillo Pioneer to provide a forum to all candidates who wish to connect with voters. As such, we have published op-eds from candidates running for a variety of offices, from governor to constable.
We ask that you please use the form below to submit your op-ed for publication. After submission, we will review your work and will email/call you to inform you of whether we will publish your article.
By submitting your op-ed, you agree to the following policies:
The Amarillo Pioneer does not endorse, condone, condemn, or otherwise recommend the candidate or any part of the candidate’s platform simply by publishing a candidate’s op-ed.
Once a candidate’s op-ed has been accepted and approved, and the candidate has been notified, The Amarillo Pioneer will not remove the candidate’s article except in exceptional circumstances. Having your article misinterpreted by readers or supporters is not grounds for removal.
The candidate pledges that they wrote the article, in question, by submitting this form.
The candidate is not entitled to demand a certain publication date for their article, unless they specifically request a certain date of publication and that date is approved by our editors.
The Amarillo Pioneer retains the right to deny publication of any op-ed submitted by a candidate for any reason if we feel the article goes against our editorial guidelines.
