A: votealexyarbrough.com/

Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2022?

A: "Don’t forget to do good and to share what you have because God is pleased with these kinds of sacrifices." Hebrews 13:16. After listening to a sermon about service, and praying about it with my family, I decided to run for the 47th District Court. I truly believe in service, and serving as the judge of the court will allow me to serve a profession and community that has been good to me and my family.

Additionally, I decided to run for the 47th District Court because Armstrong, Potter, and Randall Counties deserve experienced judges with the right judicial temperament. Practicing law in a wide range of areas has given me the knowledge, experience, and perspective the 47th District deserves in a judge.

Q: If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

A: Protect our tax dollars by operating an efficient courtroom

Adjudicate all cases in a timely manner

Treat every citizen with dignity and respect

I believe every elected official has the responsibility to be a good steward of our tax dollars. I will bring my experience in the business side of practicing law to the court and look for opportunities to save money and improve efficiency. I will also assure that the court maintains an active trial docket so cases are resolved as quickly as possible-justice delayed is justice denied. I will enforce and follow the law to assure criminal offenses are met with firm sentences after a fair trial.

Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

A: I believe an issue that has gone overlooked are the ideas the candidates are bringing to the 47th District. Before going to law school, I worked in information technology for four years and received a minor in computer science. I am ready and willing to use my knowledge and experience to help move cases to a conclusion with new technology. I would also like to see the 47th District Court meet the “Centers of Excellence” performance initiatives by the Texas Judicial Council. This program seeks to find those courts with a commitment to excellence in serving their communities, supporting their counties, and representing the judiciary in an outstanding manner

Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

A: As a former law clerk for District Judge Reyes in Lubbock, TX, I have unique insight into the internal workings of the court system. I believe I have the most varied experience to handle the cases that are typically handled in the 47th District Court. I have worked in a District Attorney's office, handled family law cases, and for the last decade have handled a wide variety of complex civil litigation. If elected, I pledge to continue to work hard and to serve with honor. I further pledge all individuals in my courtroom shall be treated fairly and with dignity. As a conservative, I pledge the rule of law shall be strictly enforced. Through both faith and profession, I believe there is a duty to serve and help improve our communities.
