Q: Have you previously held or do you currently hold any elected office? If so, what office(s)?

A: Currently Railroad Commissioner, Former State Representative

Q: If your campaign has any online campaign resources where voters can learn more about you, such as social media accounts or a website, please list them below.

A: ChristianForTexas.com

Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2022?

A: I am running for re-election because I feel I still have more service to offer my fellow Texans. With the Biden Administration doing everything it can to shut down the production of oil and gas in Texas, we need an experienced conservative fighter to stand up for Texas businesses.

Q: If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

A: Ensure we have reliable energy, fight back against federal overreach, and ensure we maintain a consistent, predictable regulatory environment so Texas producers can create jobs and economic growth.

Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

A: I am the only candidate in this race talking about fighting back against federal overreach. As the Official Representative to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, I have led this effort nationally with other state regulators to fight back against the Green New Deal and other Biden initiatives that threaten our state's economy. If re-elected, I will continue to leverage this position to fight for Texas.

Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

A: I have served on the Railroad Commission for almost five years and have stabilized staffing levels for the first time in a decade - leading to reduced permitting times and streamlined inspections.

When COVID-19 sunk oil prices, there were many advocating for the Railroad Commission to impose state-mandated caps on production. Instead, I stuck to my free market principles and identified regulatory relief as an alternative to one-size- fits-all mandates from the state. As a result, WTI Crude went from an all-time low of (negative) -$37 a barrel (4/20/20) to stabilizing at $32 a barrel within a month.

Perhaps the biggest difference is my dedication to fighting back against the subsidization of unreliable energy. Since being elected I have written countless editorials and letters to legislators, congressmen, and other statewide elected officials in an effort to eliminate the preferential treatment of wind and solar.
