None

Why did you decide to run for this office in 2024?

To continue serving the people of Randall County as the Constable of Precinct 1.

If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

First, please allow me to write a few words about what a Constable is & what a Constable does.

Constables are fully empowered county peace officers who perform a variety of law enforcement duties. My office generally functions in 5 different areas as needed:

Provide Court Security for the Justice of the Peace;

Serve Civil Process;

Serve Arrest Warrants;

Enforce Traffic Laws;

Assist the Public, Community Organizations, & other Law Enforcement agencies.

With that said, my top three priorities in office are:

1. Perform the duties of the office while upholding the constitution and protecting the rights of the people I am elected to serve;

2. Operate within budget & statutory requirements while providing a valuable service to the community;

3. Maintain a high ethical standard that reflects the values & traditions of our community.

What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

It's no secret we live in volatile times.

For most of America's existence, values like faith, freedom and family have been the foundational beliefs that held us together as a people I believe our founding fathers best expressed these values in our constitution. Our faith and the values set forth in our constitution are what made us such a great nation. Over the years, these common values carried us through every challenge and crisis. However, in recent times, all of these, our most basic fundamental beliefs, have come under attack. All of us, and especially elected officials, must stand up for the values in our constitution if it is to survive the challenges that lie ahead. Our constitution, our right to freedom of religion, freedom speech, the right to bear arms.......all of these are to protect us from an overzealous government. That was a very real a concern of our founding fathers that still applies today.

I believe the most important responsibility of a Constable (or any official) is to perform the duties of their office in a way that protects the Constitutional Rights of the people they were elected to serve.

I will continue to stand for our Constitution and the values it represents.

Do you have any notable endorsements you would like to highlight for voters?

N/A

Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

The Constable's Office in Randall County Precinct 1 is a very lean one person operation. There are no deputies, clerks, or employees other than me as the elected official. This allows me to deal one on one with people as I carry out the duties of the office.

With 35 years of law enforcement experience in Texas, I strongly believe in treating others as I would wish to be treated in a similar situation.

My office provides a valuable service to the citizens of Randall County while operating within budget and often returning funds to the county at the end of the fiscal year. In addition, my office generates revenue for the county through civil process fees, traffic citations, and warrant service.

I will continue to stand for our Constitution and the values it represents.
