Why did you decide to run for this office in 2025?

Over these past years this council truly has improved the city of Amarillo and the core services we deliver. Public safety and infrastructure improvements are the top priorities and we have made historic progress. However, there is still much work to be done and I want to build on the momentum this council has provided

If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

Public safety
Infrastructure
Quality of life

What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

Growth for our city and a plan for our future tax base. I believe this council will be able to implement a MUD (municipal utility district) policy that will enable new affordable housing developments that contribute directly to what we need in order to continue to attract new industry, families, workforce, and small business. These neighborhoods drive growth, expand our tax base, and create new customers for water and sewer utility.

What is your position on the issue of taxpayer-funded lobbying? Please explain.

Unfortunately I see the required necessity to utilize these grant writers in order to know, understand, and apply for some grants that are beneficial for our community.

Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

Experience matters. I have been blessed with the opportunity to gain an immense amount of knowledge and understanding about the core needs of our community. I am very grateful for this experience and I am now more qualified than ever to capitalize on my expertise to deliver the most return on this investment to my friends and neighbors. If given the chance, I will serve for two more years and I look forward to continuing to solve these challenges.
