Why did you decide to run for this office in 2025?

I decided to run to make a difference for our community. I believe our city deserves strong, common-sense leadership that truly listens to the people. As a community advocate, precinct chair, and board member of various organizations, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our city faces—whether it’s improving public safety, strengthening our infrastructure, supporting economic growth, or ensuring school choice and opportunities for families. Amarillo has incredible potential, and I want to be a voice for the people, making sure our tax dollars are spent wisely and that every resident has a seat at the table. I’m running to bring accountability, transparency, and real solutions to City Hall.

If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

Public Safety, Infrastructure and Economic Development.

What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

I believe the Property Tax relief bill has been overlooked, and it’s time we prioritize real relief for Amarillo residents. Families and businesses are feeling the strain of rising costs, and we need to ensure that tax policies are working for the people—not against them. As a City Council member, I’ll push for transparency in how tax dollars are used and fight to ensure that any relief measures passed at the state level are actually felt at the local level. Amarillo deserves leaders who will take a stand for taxpayers.

What is your position on the issue of taxpayer-funded lobbying? Please explain.

I am firmly against taxpayer-funded lobbying. Our hard-earned tax dollars should be used to improve our city—not to fund lobbyists who may not even represent the interests of Amarillo residents. Government should be transparent and accountable to the people, not spending money to influence lawmakers for its own benefit. Instead of using public funds for lobbying efforts, we should prioritize direct engagement with our state representatives and work on policies that benefit our community without unnecessary middlemen.

Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

I am the best candidate for Amarillo City Council Place 1 because I bring a proven record of leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to fiscal responsibility. As a precinct chair, NAACP member, and an active leader in multiple organizations, I have worked directly with the people of Amarillo to address critical issues. My background in budgeting and management ensures that I will be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars, prioritizing property tax relief, infrastructure improvements, and public safety. I am running to be a voice for the people, ensuring transparency, accountability, and smart policies that will move Amarillo forward. Let's Make Amarillo Great Again!!!
