University of Texas head football coach, Charlie Strong, has been fired.
Strong was fired after reaching a record of 16-21 as coach of the Texas football program. In Strong's final game with Texas, the Longhorns lost, 31-9, to Texas Christian University.
The New York Times is reporting that Strong's replacement will be Tom Herman. Herman is head coach of the University of Houston's football program.
Strong coached the Longhorns football team, for three seasons.
