Tom Herman, the new head coach of the University of Texas' football program, has hit the ground running in Austin.
Herman, who coached the University of Houston football team, is taking over for outgoing coach, Charlie Strong. Strong was fired by UT's administration, after a poor record of performance.
The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Herman has begun assembling his coaching staff, and recruiting players. Herman is also reportedly working to win over the favor of the current Longhorns football team, including NFL prospect, D'Onta Foreman.
Herman will be taking over, following Texas' 5-7 record, this year.
