Amarillo Star Wars Fans Await "Rogue One"

Amarillo fans of the hit film franchise "Star Wars" have eagerly been awaiting a new addition to the series, which releases tonight.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" follows a group of rebels, who plan to steal the plans for the Death Star, according to imdb.com. The film, which has been anticipated throughout 2016, currently holds an 84% rating on the film review site Rotten Tomatoes.

"Rogue One draws deep on Star Wars mythology while breaking new narrative and aesthetic ground -- and suggesting a bright blockbuster future for the franchise." Rotten Tomatoes' review of "Rogue One" reads.

And while the film has been anticipated by critics and film buffs, Amarilloans have also eagerly been awaiting the films.

"I'm glad that they are going off into the other parts of the Star Wars Universe." Frank Miller, a Star Wars fan told us. "I'm just excited and hoping for a good movie."

When asked if he would be attending the film tonight, Miller said, "I haven't decided yet. But I will be seeing it this weekend."

"Rogue One" opens tonight, with the first showing at the Cinemark Hollywood 16 theater, at 7:30pm.
