Amarillo movie fans are ready to continue the next chapter of the "Star Wars" universe beginning tonight with the premiere of "The Last Jedi."
Tonight at Amarillo's movie theaters, "The Last Jedi," episode eight in the ever-expanding "Star Wars" universe, will premiere. The film has been highly anticipated for nearly two years, following the widely successful release of "The Force Awakens."
According to Google, the film will follow our new "Star Wars" hero, Rey. "The Last Jedi" follows Rey as she develops her newly discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker. The film will also follow the Resistance as it prepares to do battle with the First Order.
Showings of the film in Amarillo are nearly sold out at various showing times. Tickets are still available for Thursday night showings of the film at the UA Amarillo Star Stadium and Cinemark Hollywood 16 theaters, but are rapidly selling out.
