No Bills Filed By Local Reps

So far, no bills have been filed in the Texas Legislature, by any local representatives, for the 2017 session.

Representatives Four Price and John Smithee's names return no filed bills, through the Texas Legislature's bill tracker. State Senator Kel Seliger has also not filed any bills for the 2017 session, according to the Legislature's website.

Nearby State Representative Ken King, of Texas' 88th Legislative District has at least three bills currently filed for the next legislative session.

According to information collected from the Legislature's website, Representatives Smithee and Price were either authors or co-authors of multiple bills, during the 2015 session. Senator Kel Seliger also had his hand on several pieces of legislation in 2015, either authoring, co-authoring, or sponsoring 91 pieces of legislation. Of Seliger's sponsored and authored bills, last session, Governor Greg Abbott vetoed one bill from Seliger, SB 313. Seliger's vetoed SB 313 was one of 42 bills vetoed by Governor Abbott, during the 2015-2016 session.

The 2017 session is slated to begin on January 10, 2017.
