Professor Ken Price, of West Texas A&M University, was recently featured on Discovery Channel's hit show "I (almost) Got Away With It."
Price, who spent 30 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, was contacted by producers in 2015, about appearing on the show. Price told his story of being the senior warden at the Darrington Unit, when two inmates broke out of the prison.
The episode follows inmates Russell Kerr and Christopher Stout's story of escaping, and the various mistakes that they made along the way.
“It’s really an unusual story,” Price said. “I spent 30 years with the prison system, and this is the most unusual escape ever—it makes a good story.”
WTAMU students taking Price's course "Prisons in America" had the treat of viewing the episode, during their Fall semester.
Price's episode aired earlier this year.
