The North Heights neighborhood of Amarillo has now made one step closer to being included in Amarillo Comprehensive Plan, by the City Council.
The North Heights Neighborhood Plan, which was developed by the Amarillo Planning and Zoning Commission, will direct a new zoning process for applications consistent with the plan. The plan will need one more reading and passage, before it officially becomes an ordinance.
Also during the City Council meeting, the Council passed a rezoning ordinance, a Title VI compliance plan and a consent agenda. The City Council also called a public nuisance hearing, regarding 1112 Southeast 12th Avenue, for January 24th.
