Crunch Fitness has opened its doors in Amarillo and hundreds of Amarilloans have been attending the new gym.
Crunch Fitness opened this week and multiple cars have packed out the parking lot and adjoining areas. Residents from Amarillo and the area have begun busting a sweat in the former home of the local mecca of entertainment, Hastings. Now, those who attend the gym, can expect to find treadmills instead of dvd and video game racks.
The manager of the new gym says that what sets Crunch Fitness apart from other low-cost gyms in the area, such as Planet Fitness, is the "energy."
"The energy is different here," the manager of Crunch Fitness told the Amarillo Pioneer. "Everyone is just so excited and there's no judgement here. It's a great place."
Those who want to sign up at Crunch Fitness still can. Memberships are available beginning at $9.95 per month. According to Crunch Fitness' Facebook page, the low membership fees allow "options to meet everyone's goals AND budget."
