Defendant Dismissed in Ruby Tequila's Lawsuit

One defendant has been dismissed in an ongoing lawsuit by former employees of Ruby Tequila's.

It was announced today that Magdalena Baier, one of the defendants in the lawsuit, has been dismissed from the lawsuit by Ruby Tequila's employees. Shortly after the lawsuit had been filed, the defendant filed for chapter seven bankruptcy, placing a hold on the lawsuit.

A judge today granted Baier's dismissal from the suit.

According to Blackburn & Brown, LP, a law firm representing Ruby Tequila's employees in the suit, the remaining defendants in the case are: Fired Up Holding Company, Inc., Richard Kevin Foote, R Tequila Acquisition, LLC, Chalak Mitras Group, LLC., Gurdev Singh Gill, M. D., and Rajeev Singh Gill.

Former employees of Ruby Tequila's are currently suing the defendants for recovery of unpaid wages. The lawsuit was launched shortly after the restaurant's closing of Amarillo and Lubbock locations, earlier this year.
