Abbott Appoints First Female DA in Grimes County

Governor Greg Abbott announced this week that he has appointed Andria Bender as District Attorney for the 506th Judicial District in Grimes County.

Bender, an assistant district attorney for the Walker County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, is the first female district attorney in Grimes County history. Bender previously served as the First Assistant District Attorney of Grimes County for 15 years.

Abbott appointed Bender to the role, with a term set to expire on December 31, 2018, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
