Municipal Court to Host Traffic Safety Courses

The Amarillo Municipal Court will be hosting a series of traffic safety courses next week.

Beginning on Monday, November 6th and lasting through Friday, November 7th, the Amarillo Municipal Court will be hosting a set of driver safety courses. The safety courses have been scheduled to provide drivers with safety information for travelling through construction zones.

"We want to do our part to ensure citizens are aware of the dangers related to driving through construction zones," court administrator Victoria Jaramillo Medley said in a statement. "We’ve all had those moments where we have felt impatient or even frustrated traveling through a construction zone, but we must remember to slow down, pay attention, and remember that there are workers doing a tough job who want to make it home safely too."

Adults, 18 years and older, will have classes on Monday and Thursday. Those 17 years and under will have classes on Tuesday and Friday.

No signup is necessary and all classes will be held at the Amarillo Municipal Court Building (201 Southeast 4th Avenue).

For more information, call the Amarillo Municipal Court at (806) 378-4224.
