On Tuesday night, members of the Bushland Independent School District board of trustees voted unanimously to name the finalist to become the next superintendent for the district.
Chris Wigington, superintendent of Big Spring Independent School District, was named the lone finalist for the position on Tuesday night. The board's 6-0 vote means that Wigington will likely replace the retiring Don Wood at Bushland ISD's superintendent.
According to Big Spring ISD' Wigington holds a Masters Degree from Texas Tech University.
Wignington has served as superintendent of Big Spring Independent School District since 2016.
