WTAMU Picks Up Chemistry Grant

West Texas A&M University's Chemistry and Physics programs have picked up a $90,000 grant.

According to WTAMU, faculty members at the University's Chemistry and Physics programs received the $90,000 grant from the Welch Foundation. The grant is meant to promote undergraduate and graduate student research and will run from June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2021.

The grant supports faculty research and will provide students stipends for their participation in such research. The Welch Foundation also hopes to increase student interest in chemistry as a career through scholarships, additional lab equipment and chemicals and opportunities for travel.
