I am often asked at Thanksgiving what I have to be thankful for. It certainly has been a tradition at our home to ask everyone the same question. This has made me think in advance of what my answer might be, and I have been taken aback by all of the things that I would consider to be a blessing. I personally am thankful for my family and true friends that prove to be timeless. I also feel blessed by my set of ethics by which I govern myself. Regardless of which obstacles present themselves in my path I can hold true to my values. These things and others that I can hold near I can be truly thankful for.
I am far from being alone in the great fortune that has been bestowed upon each of us here at the Pioneer. We have been blessed with a select group of readers that share our same values. We have come into our own with our new website, and continue to add readers every day. We are a recognized news source through Google News as well as Apple News, and we are an officially recognized news source by the Texas Tribune. All of these things mean that we can better serve you, and provide you with the most honest and straightforward news in the region.
Every story in the Pioneer might not be exactly as you want it, particularly if it differs from your political views. The reason for this is because there is no spin in the writing of each news article. All of this means that we can continue to provide you with "Local News and Honest Journalism".
And last, but surely not least, I am thankful for each of our contributors , our amazing editor, and the legendary Trent Rosser. Without each of these people, there would be nothing in this realm of news to be thankful for.
So stay tuned to the Pioneer so that we can keep you apprised of real news in Amarillo, not just the filtered propaganda that has been available for so long.
Thank you to each of you.
