The City of Canadian is in the cross-hairs of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality after a failure to comply with environmental limitations.
According to an agenda posted for the December 13th meeting of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, commissioners will consider assessing a fine to the City of Canadian for failure to comply with environmental regulations. The fine, if levied, would be a result of the City's failure to comply with pollutant limitations and failure to analyze samples at the specified intervals.
The order for a potential fine is addressed to city manager Joe Jarosek and Canadian mayor Rob Talley.
The fines, if approved, would total $30,875.
