The City of Amarillo is asking for feedback from local residents on a series of proposed solid waste fees.
According to City officials, members of the City Council are currently considering implementing fees for "waste and recycling programs and services." The fees would be considered contractual agreements between the City of Amarillo and residents and would be meant to generate revenue for road maintenance and other programs.
Three meetings will be held on the fees. The first, on November 9th (Downtown Amarillo Library, 6pm), the second on November 15th (Simms Municipal Building, 2pm) and the final meeting will be held on November 16th (Southwest Library, 6pm).
