Three Nabbed in Amarillo Burglary Investigation

Three people have been arrested following a Saturday morning auto burglary investigation.

Amarillo Police report that officers were called to the 1300 block of Smiley Street on the report of a burglary of a vehicle. The caller told dispatchers that he was following three suspects who had broken into a car. 

The three suspects were stopped by officers and were found to be in possession of several items that had been taken in at least two auto burglaries on Smiley Street. The original caller told officers that he had seen between eight and ten original suspects, but police say that only three were located.

Mark Anthony Joseph Martinez, 17, was arrested for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and for Failure to Identify. Martinez was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on his charges.

A juvenile male and a juvenile female were both arrested for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and were booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains.
