Three Arrested in Auto Burglary Investigations

Three people are now in custody following auto burglary investigations by the Amarillo Police Department.

According to APD, on the morning of October 29th, officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Van Winkle on a vehicle alarm. Shortly after, a call came in regarding three subjects on foot in the Easley and Plymouth area. As officers were driving around, they noticed several vehicles with interior lights on that were possibly broken into. The original caller tried to follow the three subjects, but lost them between houses.

Officers saw three subjects enter the alley of the 4600 block of Aberdeen. They did not locate the subjects, but found several items of property that had been left on the ground in the alleyway of the 4800 block. As officers were contacting homeowners about missing property, an older model Chevrolet exited the driveway and drove out of the alley. Three people were in the vehicle, wearing dark clothing.

The Chevrolet was stopped for traffic violations and the subjects were identified as Stephanie Price, 19, Arthur Barclay, 18, and Braden Beard, 18. Several items reported stolen by homeowners were found in the vehicle. The three were arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Beard was also charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapons (brass knuckles). All three were booked into the Randall County Jail.
