Jim Lowder Running for Mayor

James F. "Jim" Lowder will be running for Mayor of Amarillo, in May.

Lowder currently serves as the chairman of the Potter County Republican Party. Lowder is also the owner of Cafe DAC.

In 2016, Lowder was chosen as a finalist to replace Dr. Brian Eades on the City Council, but was not ultimately chosen. In July, Lowder also served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lowder joins Ginger Nelson and Renea Dauntes as an announced candidate for mayor. Nelson is the only filed candidate for the office, thus far.

Prospective candidates can file applications, until February 17th.
