The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service have raided a State Senator's office, according to the Texas Tribune.
FBI and IRS agents recently raided Senator Carlos Uresti's office, according to the Tribune. Law enforcement officials told the San Antonio Express-News that the raid was in connection with a bankrupted fracking company that the senator has stake in.
Uresti issued a statement this morning saying that federal investigators are "reviewing our documents as part of their broad investigation of the Four Winds matter." Uresti also added, "I have instructed my staff to fully cooperate with the federal investigators. I will help them in whatever way I can."
Law enforcement has confirmed to the Texas Tribune that no arrests have been made at this time.
