The West Texas A&M University Buffaloes have reached the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in nearly 20 years.
The Buffaloes have reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 1997-1998 season. In the 1997-1998 season, the Buffaloes also advanced to the only Elite Eight in the history of the program. The WTAMU Buffs now hold an all-time record of 7-15 in the NCAA Championship.
The Buffs are closing in on another Elite Eight appearance, this year, following a 76-64 win over Texas A&M - Kingsville, on Sunday.
The Buffs' next game will be played on Tuesday, against the Colorado School of Mines. The game will be played in Golden, Colorado and will begin at 8pm.
