Dennis Stamp has died at the age of 70.
Stamp was a local professional wrestler who was brought to fame during the climax of the popularity of the Western States Sports promotion of the National Wrestling Alliance. Stamp also wrestled in the World Wrestling Federation.
During his career in pro-wrestling, Stamp held many honors including the Western States Heavyweight Championship, which was the main championship in the Amarillo, Texas promotion.
Following his retirement, Stamp rose to popularity by appearing in "Beyond the Mat." Stamp also appeared in the film "Paradise Alley" with Sylvester Stallone and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Stamp also wrote poetry and short stories. A collection of Stamp's writings were published in 2015 as The Stamp Collection.
