The Amarillo City Council voted last night to approve the funding for the demolition of the Amarillo Inn.
The Council voted 3-0 to approve the funding for the demolition. $617,000 for the demolition will come from water reserves, while $100,000 will come from community block grant funding and $60,000 will come from the CDBG.
Tasman Geosciences will perform the demolition, according to the City.
The funding that will be taken from the water reserves will be paid back by the City, over the next few years.
