Mayoral candidates Renea Dauntes, Ginger Nelson and Jim F. Lowder all met for a candidate forum, last night, hosted by Potter County commissioner Mercy Murguia.
Dauntes, Nelson and Lowder spared over various issues facing the City, including cleaning up I-40, homelessness, and the AEDC. Over the course of the forum, Dauntes discussed her community involvement, while Nelson discussed her business involvement and Lowder highlighted his service in the U.S. Navy.
Questions were directed at the candidates from a large group of residents that gathered for the forum. Others in attendance were Potter County Justice of the Peace Rich Herman and City Councilmember Elisha Demerson.
The next scheduled forum in Amarillo will be on May 5th.
