Baylor University and Amarillo College have finalized an agreement for AC students looking to transfer to Baylor.
The new Baylor Bound agreement was officially signed today by Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart of Amarillo College and Dr. David E. Garland of Baylor University. The two college presidents participated in the ceremony today at Amarillo College's Union Building.
At today's ceremony, Dr. Lowery-Hart and Dr. Garland both delivered remarks, along with former Baylor Regent and Amarillo pastor Howard Batson and Baylor Regent Linda Brian.
Baylor University's agreement with Amarillo College is the eleventh agreement of its kind by Baylor in the past five years. Baylor University has also signed agreements with McLennan Community College in Waco, Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Blinn College in Brenham, Collin College in McKinney, Temple College in Temple, Alamo Colleges in San Antonio, Midland College in Midland, San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Tarrant County College in Ft. Worth, and South Texas College in McAllen.
Students looking to take advantage of the program may fill out a Baylor Bound application prior to enrolling at Amarillo College or while a full time student. Admission to the program will be decided by Baylor University's Office of Admission Services.
