Amarillo Independent School District will be recognizing a departing trustee and an incoming trustee, during tonight's board meeting.
The board will recognize Eric Darnell, who is leaving the school board after 4-years of service. The board will also recognize Cristy Cooper Wilkinson, the newly-elected member of the AISD Board of Trustees. Wilkinson will take her oath of office tonight, as will AISD Board of Trustees members James Allen, John Ben Blanchard, and Renee McCown.
During the meeting, the board will also tackle several agenda items, including proposal of the district tax rate and discussion over meal price increases and construction bids.
The Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees will meet tonight, at 6pm. The meeting will be held at the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center (7200 Interstate 40 West.)
