House Passes Hospital District Bill

The Texas House of Representatives passed a bill on Sunday night that relates to the Amarillo Hospital District.

The bill by Senator Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) is relating to the creation and participation of a health care provider program by the City of Amarillo's Hospital District. The bill was co-sponsored in the House by Four Price (R-Amarillo).

The Texas House passed the bill overwhelmingly, 137-2. Representatives Briscoe Cain and Matt Schaefer voted against the bill.

The bill previously passed in the Texas Senate, 31-0.
