City Seeks Fosters for Local Pets

The City of Amarillo is seeking temporary fosters for some local animals.

According to the City, some animals at the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society have been adopted and are currently awaiting transport into other states. Transport will not take place for another one to three weeks, however, meaning that fosters are temporarily needed for these pets.

The Humane Society says that this is a chance for residents to make a substantial community impact with a short-time commitment. Fosters who volunteer to temporarily house these pets will not only be helping give these pets a temporary home, but volunteers will also be helping lower the population of the animal shelter.

If you are interested in serving as a temporary foster, you are asked to call the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society at (806) 373-1716.
