APD Investigating Wednesday Shots Fired Call

"On July 12th at 12:03 AM, APD officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of North Lake on shots being fired in the area and a house being struck.

Officers had been dispatched to the same area an hour earlier on July 11th at 11:05 PM on a large fight in the street. When officers responded to the first call no one was found at that location.   Officers located the residence that had been struck by the gunfire and no one inside had been injured. The house and detached garage both had bullet holes from the shooting. Several spent shell casings were located by the residence.

The only description of a possible suspect is a silver or tan Mercury Grand Marquis.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400. Tips can also be made anonymously online at www.amapolice.org."
