APD Arrests Two in Overnight Auto Burglaries

The Amarillo Police Department has arrested two suspects in overnight auto burglaries.

At 4:17am, officers saw a man run from a driveway and get into a gold Oldsmobile in the 3300 block of Maynor Place. The car was parked in the alley.

The officer detained the male driver and female passenger of the Oldsmobile after the officer spotted that a dome light was on in a pickup from which the suspect ran. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

Officers found that the pickup had been burglarized. The vehicle was unlocked. APD recovered two Ipods, cameras, and other items that were taken from the vehicle.

Aaron Ynojosa, 33, was taken into custody and had an outstanding warrant from a probation violation from an original charge of dangerous drugs. While being booked, officers discovered that Ynojosa had two prior convictions for burglary of a vehicle.

Ynojosa was booked into the Randall County Jail for burglary of a vehicle with two prior violations. The female suspect, Emily Davis, 30, was booked into the Randall County Jail on the charge of burglary of a vehicle.
