Struggling Marlins Hold Off Texas in Rangers Loss

The struggling Miami Marlins defeated the Texas Rangers in a 4 run shutout game last night.

The Marlins, led by Adam Conley, were able to defeat the Texas Rangers last night shutting out the Arlington bats. The Rangers were hoping to use their three game sweep over the Tampa Bay Rays to spark new momentum into the late season, but were stopped short by the Miami Marlins.

Martin Perez, the Texas starter, took the loss for the Rangers during Monday night's game.

The loss comes as Texas struggles to find its footing in the last part of the 2017 season. Some sources have said that the Rangers have considered shopping around pitcher Yu Darvish and catcher Mike Napoli as tokens to add new life to the Arlington roster.

The Rangers will be looking to rebound tonight against the Marlins in Arlington. That game starts at 7:05pm on FSSW.
