APD: June Child Death Ruled Homicide

The June death of a child has been ruled a homicide by the Amarillo Police Department.

APD reports that the June 8th death of a three year old male in the 4000 block of South Bowie has been ruled a homicide. Officers found the child unconscious and not breathing on June 8th and he was transported to a local hospital and eventually to a hospital in Fort Worth.

The child died on June 10th and Special Crimes took over the investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office performed an autopsy and on August 10th, the death was ruled a homicide.

SCU is continuing the investigation and no arrests have been made in the case.
