Willie Calhoun, the latest addition to the Texas Rangers organization, debuted with the Round Rock Express, last night.
Calhoun, the star of the trade to Los Angeles for pitcher Yu Darvish, is one of Texas' key figures in its self-described "restocking." Calhoun is expected to be a key figure for the Rangers in the future as the Texas looks to rebuild, following a disastrous 2017 season.
Calhoun debuted last night to grand anticipation. Calhoun batted 0-4 in Round Rock's 4-0 loss to El Paso (San Diego affiliate).
Last night's performance was different than most of Calhoun's games. Calhoun is currently batting .298 with 23 home-runs and 67 RBI's in 99 games.
