While some City officials have been discussing closing the local brush sites at the conclusion of this fiscal year's budget, the City Council is preparing to hold community meetings next week.
According to information from the City of Amarillo, officials from the Public Works Department will be seeking public input on the brush sites in an upcoming series of public meetings. The meetings will allow residents to hear the City's plans and to express concerns and feedback.
The meeting schedule will be as follows:
Monday, Aug. 14, East Branch Library, 2232 E. 27th
Tuesday, Aug. 15, North Branch Library, 1500 N.E. 24th
Thursday, Aug. 17, Downtown Library, 413 E. 4th
Monday, Aug. 21, Northwest Branch Library, 6100 W. 9th
