The preliminary conceptual design for the multi-purpose event venue may be decided by the Local Government Corporation Board of Directors on Wednesday.
Amarillo's LGC board is set to meet on Wednesday morning to discuss several issues related to the downtown development projects. One item will include the presentation, discussion and consideration of the conceptual design for the MPEV. The City of Amarillo released several possible designs last month and residents have spent the past month making their voices heard on which design would be favorable.
The Amarillo Pioneer reached out to the City of Amarillo for information on which design will be presented to the LGC. Our request for comment was not returned.
LGC members will also discuss and consider appointments to LGC advisory committees. All of the committees listed deal with the MPEV, however it is not clear how a citizen can go about being appointed to a committee.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 11:30pm in Room 306 of Amarillo City Hall (509 SE 7th Ave).
