The editor of the Amarillo Pioneer newspaper will be participating in a forum on Monday, October 2nd regarding truth in today's media.
It was announced this week that Thomas Warren III, editor of the Amarillo Pioneer, will be participating in a forum hosted by the Engagement Task Force on Monday, October 2nd. The forum will be moderated by High Plains Pundit director Dan Butcher and will feature Warren, KGNC's David Lovejoy, FTR Radio's Mike Gay, Amarillo Globe-News' Jon Mark Beilue and ABC 7's Amy Sullivan.
The forum will focus on the views of media outlets in Amarillo on the role of the media in today's society.
"I am excited to have this opportunity to talk to readers about the role of media," Warren said. "Today's media is so important to keeping our society informed, that we must make sure that those who write the news are held accountable for objectivity."
The event will be held at VFW Post 1475 (1401 SW 8th Avenue) on October 2nd. There will be a dinner served before the program that is $7 per person.
If you plan to attend, you are asked to contact Laura Throne at 418-9916 to RSVP before September 29th.
