The Amarillo Pioneer will be joining up with a local organization to present a candidate forum this April.
On April 11th, the Amarillo Pioneer will co-sponsor the annual Amarillo League of Women Voters forum held at the Amarillo College Downtown Campus. The annual forum has become a staple of Amarillo elections, and will feature candidates running for a variety of local offices.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be joining with the League of Women Voters to present a fair, non-partisan look at all the candidates running in Amarillo,” Pioneer editor Thomas Warren III said. “The League always puts on a great event, and we are honored to be a part of their forum this year.”
Originally, the Pioneer had planned to host a separate forum on the same night at the League’s forum, but will now co-sponsor the League forum. Meanwhile, Pioneer officials will look to host a forum on a different date at the American Legion Post 54 in Amarillo. Details of that forum will be announced at a later date.
That forum will begin at 5:30PM at the Amarillo College Downtown Campus in Amarillo on April 11th. Further details will be announced soon.
